Showroom open 7 days a week - Free delivery across Morocco

Oroma Diamond has no shop in Rabat: its showroom is in Casablanca, in Sidi Maarouf, about an hour away by train or by car. From Rabat, the simplest way is to make a first selection at a distance with an adviser on WhatsApp, then come and see the rings you have shortlisted on a day trip. If the journey is not possible, the whole choice can be made by message.

How long does it take to come from Rabat?

About 90 km of motorway separate Rabat from Casablanca. Allow roughly an hour by car when the traffic is light, longer at busy times. By train, the ONCF shuttles leave Rabat Ville roughly every hour and take about an hour; the Al Boraq, which leaves from Rabat Agdal, reaches Casa Voyageurs in a little under an hour.

Add the journey from the station to Sidi Maarouf, south of the centre of Casablanca. All these times are approximate: check the day's timetable on the ONCF website or app before you set off.

Making the first visit a real selection

An hour on the road, then another on the way back: better not to discover the rings once you are there. Do most of the sorting from Rabat and come to see a short selection.

  1. Send the adviser your budget and two or three photos of rings you like.
  2. Ask for the visit through the private appointment page, naming the pieces you want to see.
  3. If you are torn between natural and laboratory-grown diamond, ask to see both. Our page on laboratory-grown diamonds in Morocco explains what sets them apart.
  4. Write down the finger size and your questions before you leave.

Nothing obliges you to decide on the spot. A first visit is also for ruling things out: you go back to Rabat with one or two designs in mind, and the rest is settled by message. During the visit, note for each ring the height of the stone, how comfortable it is on the finger and the colour of the gold in daylight: once you are home, these are the details that let you compare, calmly, two designs seen on the same afternoon. What to look at during the visit is set out on our page about our diamond jeweller in Casablanca.

Choosing at a distance from Rabat

If you cannot come, send the adviser on WhatsApp your budget, the style you are after, a photo of a ring she likes and her finger size. The more precise your pointers, the shorter the selection you get back.

To find her size without arousing suspicion, measure the inside of a ring she wears on her ring finger. The method is in our article on measuring your ring size, and the size guide can be printed at home.

Before you pay, check the stone's report number yourself on the laboratory's website, and have what the invoice will say confirmed in writing. The points to check are gathered in buying a diamond with confidence in Morocco. Whether the ring can be sent to you in Rabat, and how, is something an adviser answers on WhatsApp. The designs are in the engagement rings collection.

Frequently asked questions

Both take roughly an hour to Casablanca. The train spares you the driving and the parking, but you then have to get from the station to Sidi Maarouf. The car drops you in front of the gallery, with a journey time that varies more with the traffic.

Ask the adviser on WhatsApp. A video shows better than a photo how the stone returns the light, though it does not replace holding the ring. It is mainly useful for shortening the list of pieces to see at the showroom.

An Oroma adviser confirms on WhatsApp whether the ring can be sent to Rabat and on what terms. Ask before you order, and keep the answer in writing.

Not for a first visit. An approximate measurement, taken from a ring she already wears, lets you try a close size and find out whether the design can be adjusted. Between two sizes, go for the larger one.
